Wet alarm valve is a type of one-way valve that allows water to flow into the sprinkler system in one direction only, and drives the supporting components to alarm under the specified pressure and flow rate. Working principle

The wet alarm valve device is in a waiting state for a long time, and the system side is filled with water at working pressure. When a fire occurs in the control area of the automatic sprinkler system, the thermal sensing element in the closed sprinkler head on the system pipe network is heated and explodes to automatically spray water. The pressure on the wet alarm valve system side drops, and under the action of the pressure difference, the valve disc automatically opens, and the water supply side flows into the system side pipe network for replenishment. The entire pipe network is in an automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing state. At the same time, water also flows into the delay device and hydraulic alarm bell through the holes on the seat ring. Under certain pressure and flow conditions, the pipe network equipped with water flow indicators also operates and outputs electrical signals. Enable the system control terminal to promptly detect the area where the fire occurred, achieving the purpose of automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing and alarm.


Installation and debugging


install

a. Wet systems are used in places where the ambient temperature is between 4-70 ℃ and there is no freezing; b. The wet alarm valve group must be installed vertically, and attention should be paid to the water outlet direction during installation. The installation position should consider maintenance and upkeep

There is sufficient operating space at times; c. A filter must be installed before the wet alarm valve to ensure clean water supply. The system pipeline should be thoroughly flushed, and a rust proof layer should be applied inside the pipeline to ensure that there is no dirt or grime inside;

d. Each drainage outlet should be separately connected to the sewer through pipelines to maintain unobstructed flow and facilitate unified discharge; e. The pressure gauge should be turned to the position where the reading is clear; f. After the installation of the pipeline system is completed, fill the system pipeline with water, slowly increase the pressure and exhaust the air in the pipeline to the working pressure of the system. Check for any leaks in the entire system, and perform alarm and pipeline water supply checks.


Regular inspection and maintenance

a. The rubber sealing surface on the valve disc should be promptly cleaned of any attached dirt and foreign objects. If the rubber seal is worn or aged, it should be replaced in a timely manner; b. Timely clean the dirt on the filter of the alarm valve device and keep the pipeline unobstructed; c. Check and clean the dirt inside the delay device, and there should be no foreign objects blocking the throttle orifice.


Experimental operation

After installation and during regular inspections, the following tests should be conducted:

a. Alarm test: Turn on the end water testing device (installed at the end of the system), hydraulic alarm bell, pressure switch, and water flow indicator
