The rain alarm valve is composed of components such as hydraulic alarm bell, anti reset valve, solenoid valve, control chamber water supply pipeline, rain alarm valve opening pipeline, alarm pipeline, drainage pipeline, pressure gauge, etc. Deluge valves are widely used in automatic sprinkler systems, such as deluge systems, water curtain systems, and water spray extinguishing systems. It can also be used for closed systems, such as pre action systems.
The rain alarm valve has the following main functions:
a. Automatic water source connection function; b. Automatic alarm function; c. Prevent the automatic reset function of the valve disc; d. Test the functions of water supply facilities and alarm devices; e. Manual and automatic start functions.

working principle
The rain alarm valve has a control chamber, a water supply chamber, and a system chamber. By relying on a diaphragm to seal the pressure water in the water supply chamber, the pressurization and depressurization of the chamber are controlled to change the position of the diaphragm, thereby opening or closing the rain alarm valve. The action of the solenoid valve or opening the emergency start ball valve can activate the alarm valve. The function of the anti reset valve is to seal the inlet channel of the control chamber when the pressure relief rain shower alarm valve of the control chamber is opened, to prevent the water supply from being cut off due to the reset of the pressure boosting rain shower alarm valve of the control chamber. When the rain shower alarm valve needs to be closed, the inlet channel of the control chamber is opened to supplement the pressure and reset the diaphragm. Prevent accidental spraying caused by water pressure fluctuations when the rain alarm valve is in response state.
Water supply and commissioning
First water supply operation steps:
1. Close all ball valves and butterfly valves on the water supply and system sides of the rain alarm valve group;
2. First, open the left ball valve 6 (reset ball valve) of the rain alarm valve, and then open the signal butterfly valve on the water supply side to supply water;
3. Slowly open the emergency start ball valve 2 for exhaust, and close it when water flows out;
4. When the anti reset valve 7 stops draining and the pressure on the upper and lower pressure gauges is balanced, close the reset ball valve 6;
5. Open the system drain valve, and when there is no water flowing out, close the system drain valve;
6. Open the alarm ball valve 1 and the system side butterfly valve, and enter the standby state.
After the start of a fire or quarterly debugging, the steps for resetting the valve are as follows:
1. Close the butterfly valve on the water supply side;
2. Reset the solenoid valve and close manual emergency start ball valve 2;
3. Open reset ball valve 6;
4. Open the system side drainage ball valve 5, and when there is no water discharged, close the drainage ball valve;
5. To prevent water from entering the system and causing accidental spraying, first close the butterfly valve on the system side;
6. Open the butterfly valve on the water supply side, observe the hydraulic alarm bell and pressure switch, and there is no alarm or pressure switch action;
7. Close reset ball valve 6, open the system side butterfly valve, and restore the system to the standby state.
Installation and use:
a. The rain alarm valve group should be installed in a non freezing place above 4 ℃.
b. There should be sufficient maintenance space around the installation location of the rain alarm valve group to ensure repair in the shortest possible downtime.
c. The rain alarm valve group should be installed vertically (to be installed horizontally, please inform us when ordering). Pay attention to the direction of water inlet and outlet during installation.
d. A filter must be installed before the rain alarm valve to ensure clean water supply.
e. Signal butterfly valves should be installed at both ends of the rain alarm valve group.
f. The rubber component - diaphragm on the rain alarm valve group is recommended to be replaced every 5-6 years to prevent unnecessary damage caused by aging.
