1、 Working principle
The gate of a rising stem gate valve moves linearly with the valve stem, usually with trapezoidal threads on the lifting rod. Through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide groove on the valve body, the rotational motion is converted into linear motion, that is, the operating torque is converted into operating thrust. Rotate the handwheel to lift or lower the valve plate connected to the valve stem through the thread of the handwheel and valve stem, achieving the purpose of opening and closing. The opening and closing component of a rising stem gate valve is the gate, and the direction of movement of the gate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. The gate valve can only be fully opened and fully closed, and cannot be adjusted or throttled. Open the valve, and when the height of the gate is equal to 1:1 times the valve diameter, the fluid channel is completely unobstructed. However, during operation, this position cannot be monitored. In actual use, the vertex of the valve stem is used as a marker, that is, the position where it cannot be opened, as its fully open position. To consider the phenomenon of locking due to temperature changes, it is usually done by opening the valve to the top position and then reversing it by 1/2-1 turn as the position for fully opening the valve. Therefore, the fully open position of the valve is determined by the position of the gate (i.e. stroke).
2、 Product Introduction
The rising stem gate valve produced by our company is made of ductile iron for the valve body, ductile iron for the gate plate, EPDM for the sealing material, chrome plated 45 # steel for the shaft, and PTFE for the valve shaft packing material. 5、 Installation and maintenance instructions
a. Handwheels, handles, and transmission mechanisms are not allowed to be used for lifting and collisions are strictly prohibited.
b. Double gate valves should be installed vertically (i.e. with the valve stem in a vertical position and the handwheel at the top).
c. If the valve is frequently opened and closed, lubricate it at least once a month.
